LaPrade has studied portrait painting with Daniel E. Greene, Scott Noel, and Nelson Shanks. Graduate of the College of William and Mary; and the University of Iowa; Member of the Portrait Society of America. Favorite Mediums: Pastel and Oil.  LaPrade’s work is in private and public collections thoughout the United States.  Most recent awards: Award of Distinction, and The Chris & Don Meador Memorial Award, Oct. ’03 by League of Roanoke Artists Showcase 2003.   The art work ranges in size from life-size head studies to full length portraits, priced from $375 - $4000.
