| Lee Watson began painting in Richmond,
VA about twenty years ago. Her education has consisted of drawing,
painting, design, silk screen and art history classes. Her affiliation
with art groups were Artspace Gallery, Summit Studios, Women’s Caucus for
Art and the Metropolitan Artists Association in Richmond. Currently,
she is a member of Rockbridge Arts Guild in Rockbridge County.

Lee has had juried or invitational exhibits
at the Philip Morris Research Center, Irene Leach Memorial Exhibit at the
Chrysler Museum in Norfolk, VA, the Richmond Public Library, Occasion for
the Arts in Williamsburg, the Lodan Gallery—“South of the James Invitational,”
and the Artspace Gallery in Richmond. In this area, she has shown
at the Rockbridge Regional Fair, Art for Heart, Arts in the Round and Art
on the Green.
The media Watson most enjoys are oils, oil
pastels and soft pastels. At this time, she does mostly still life
but some figurative work.
