LaPrade has studied portrait painting with Daniel E. Greene, Burton Silverman, and Nelson Shanks. Graduate of the College of William and Mary; and the University of Iowa; Member of the Portrait Society of America. Favorite Mediums: Pastel and Oil. LaPrade’s work is in private and public collections throughout the United States. Most recent awards: Award of Distinction, and The Chris & Don Meador Memorial Award, Oct. ’03 by League of Roanoke Artists Showcase 2003.
