MARIAN ROHNE
| Marian M. Rohne, a recent resident
of Lexington, was a Fine Arts student at the College of William and Mary
and at Georgia State College. Since 1991, she has studied painting
with J.R. Shepherd of Millboro, founder of the Firehouse School of Art
in Clifton Forge, VA.

The artist focuses on those lines,
shapes, movements and colors in nature which inspire her mind and touch
her heart. Most often the subjects of concentration are the life
forms of figures, flowers, and landscapes. Favorite media include
oil, watercolor, and pastel. Portraits are undertaken on commission.
The artist has been the recipient of various
art show awards over the years, and had a one-woman display at Rockbridge
Regional Library in October 1997.
