Following retirement in 1995 Marilyn began studying painting at Studio 11 in Lexington under John Morgan, Ryan Russell, Agnes Carbrey, and Elizabeth Sauder and has thus far experimented with various media. Her work has been exhibited at Studio 11, RAG art shows at Hopkins Green, the Rockbridge County Fair Art Show, Shenandoah Valley Art Center and Rockbridge Area Community Services.
