I am a retired Presbyterian minister, a mother of three daughters, and a grandmother of four grandchildren. Upon retirement in November 2007, I moved to Lexington, Virginia, a beautiful area famous not only for its history but also for its two colleges: Virginia Military Institute and Washington and Lee University. Here, I am near one of my daughters and her husband, my two granddaughters, and a multitude of artists and professionals.

Before my parenting and working years, I took one semester of art during college. It was later, when time allowed, that I took a couple of additional art courses. Now, I have the time to indulge in painting year round. Inspired by this unique opportunity, it is a privilege to try and capture on canvas various things and places of beauty as I have experienced them and to share these impressions with others.
