Jan Jarrad

As a potter, Jarrard works primarily in stoneware creating functional pieces for cooking, gardening, and flower arranging.


With a studio and kiln on Poor House Mountain, Jarrard does both reduction and oxidation firing.  After studying ceramics in London, Jarrard apprenticed with Staunton production potter, Jim Hanger.  She has also studied at Penland School and Arrowmont School of Crafts.


Her work is represented by Artisans on Washington Street Gallery in Lexington.
